UC: Unending Chronicles

This is still under update process! (^_^)

UNCEASING CANTICA is a singing group consists of talented members who committed themselves to serve God through music ministry. Unceasing Cantica originated from two words, unceasing means “never-ending” and Cantica means “praise”. Therefore, Unceasing Cantica means Never-ending Praise.
  • The AUP-Unceasing Cantica is one of the recognized choirs in the Adventist University of the Philippines. It has sister groups in different countries including Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia. Mr. Dante C. Oblimar, the founder of Unceasing Cantica, established UC-Indonesia on July 1, 2001 and UC-Bangkok on September 2002.
  • On July 2003, when Prof. Oblimar went back to AUP, he formed Unceasing Cantica AUP-Chapter. It started with 25 members composed of students, teachers, faculty and staff of Adventist University of the Philippines. The newly-formed group did not have enough time with the founder because God has called him to work in Manado International School, Indonesia. The directorship was then left to Mr. Rogerbert Goleng, Jr., a junior music major student then. The group has shared God’s given talent in the Philippine International Church, and some other churches outside the university campus.
  • On January 2004, the group was inactive due to the vacancy of the directorship.
  • On July 2005, the group is back with new commitment in serving the Lord through music ministry. Unceasing Cantica was very privileged to have Prof. Evelyn F. Ronquillo, Chair of the Music Department of Adventist University of the Philippines, as the director together with Dr. Rodney Abriol, as the pianist. The group actively involved themselves in outreach programs and religious concerts in Tagaytay, Bulacan, Pasay, AIIAS-Filipino church, and other churches outside AUP.
  • On December 2005, under the directorship of Dr. Rodney Abriol, the group had the opportunity to visit their co-Unceasing Cantica in Thailand. With his leadership, Dr. Rodney Abriol continued the ministry of the group through participating in various musical programs of the school and of Philippine International church. Later, with Mr. Dante Oblimar's return in AUP, together, they once more served as UC directors wherein Dr. Rodney Abriol became the pianist and assistant director.
  • On January 2007, Miss Felyn Benito, one of the faculty members of the music department became the director together with Mr. Rogerbert Goleng, Jr. as pianist and co-director who was then a senior music student in AUP that later bade farewell to the group after he graduated.
  • With her new name, Mrs. Felyn Benito-Eranista, AUP Unceasing Cantica remained under her directorship. With her assistants: Mr. Jay-R Altoveros, a senior music student of AUP, as assistant  conductor and Miss Lady Abigail Imperio, a freshman music student, as their pianist.
  • Recently, the AUP-Unceasing Cantica was under the directorship of Mr. Jay-R Altoveros and guest-director and pianist, Mr. Daniel Uy, a faculty member of the AUP Department of Music.
  • At present, the group is still under Mr. Jay-R Altoveros's directorship. Assisting him in the piano is Ms. Marlet Brofas, a first year music student also in AUP.
